Before you start
Have the order number, gift card code, or customer name to hand before getting started. How to search for a gift card or customer.
1 ᐧ Find the gift card
Use the global search to locate the gift card by order number, gift card code, or customer name.
2 ᐧ Open the order item
Once you've found the gift card, click the more icon (•••) next to the item in the order items section and select Edit order item.
3 ᐧ Extend the validity
In the edit panel you'll see fields for validity, redeem code, personal message, and description. Update the validity date range so the gift card is no longer expired.
4 ᐧ Add a grace period (optional)
If you want to give the customer a little extra flexibility, you can set a grace period for the gift card here.
5 ᐧ Save
Click Save and the gift card will be valid again immediately.
💡 Good to know: Extending a gift card does not issue a new code; the customer can continue using the same code they already have.
