📚 Note: Make sure you've completed the Add Web Extension button setup before attempting redemption.
Before you start
Open your POS and launch Lightspeed K Series. Process the order as normal until you're ready to take payment - at this point you'll see a Redeem Gift Card button.
1 ᐧ Process the order
Add all items to the cart and process the order as you normally would in Lightspeed, right up until the point of payment.
2 ᐧ Click Redeem Gift Card
When you're ready to take payment, tap the Redeem Gift Card button.
3 ᐧ Enter Gift Card Code
A gift card lookup window will appear. You have two ways to find the gift card:
Enter the code manually - type the unique code found on the gift card.
Scan the QR code - click the scan code button to use the iPad's built-in camera to scan the gift card's QR code directly.
4 ᐧ Review Order Total and Credit Balance
Once the gift card has been found, tap Search to pull up the details. Review the order total alongside the available credit balance on the gift card before proceeding.
5 ᐧ Apply Gift Card Balance
Choose whether to apply the full balance or a partial amount to the order, then tap Redeem to apply it.
6 ᐧ Complete Payment Processing
Proceed with your normal payment process to finalise the transaction. If the gift card doesn't cover the full amount, the remaining balance can be taken by any other payment method.
📚 Note: Double-check the redemption code, the order total and credit balance before applying the gift card to prevent discrepancies.
