To complete this you will need to have access to the Lightspeed backoffice to create a web extension, a payment method and add a button to the POS menu your team interact with.
Login to the Glu admin area and return to the Lightspeed integration settings page, and keep the page open while you open the Lightspeed backoffice in a separate tab.
Alternatively our team can make all the changes needed for you if you're happy to add us to your backoffice as a user.
Create a backoffice user using [email protected] as the users email, you must give our user the "Settings and configuration" permission for us to be able to make the changes needed.
Creating the web extension
In Lightspeed backoffice, open up "Operations" in the main navigation sidebar and click on "Web extensions" - It will show any existing extensions that have been previously setup and allow you to create a new one.
Copy each of the fields from the Glu settings page into the Lightspeed web extension. You should not specify any loading domains.
It is critical that the checkbox labelled "Add a JavaScript context to the page" is turned on.
Setup the payment method
To ensure both Glu and Lightspeed understand when member credit, a gift card or any other type of stored value has been used we need to setup a unique payment method in Lightspeed.
In the Lightspeed backoffice open up "Payments" and select "Payment methods" in the main navigation sidebar. Here you can see all the methods currently setup and create a new one.
Copy each of the fields from the Glu settings page into the payment method settings, none of the additional configuration checkboxes need to be ticked.
The payment method will be visible to the user in the POS and needs to be hidden so that it is only used via the web extension.
In the Lightspeed backoffie open up "POS" and then select "Configurations" in the main navigation sidebar. Select "Payments" on the page to scroll down to the payments section.
Make sure the Glu payment method you created previously is unchecked to ensure it is not shown on the POS.
Add the button to the menu
The last step is to add a button to menu from your team to use to Glu to redeem. The POS menu will have customised to suit your business, you'll be able to put a button for Glu wherever works best for your setup.
To add the button goto "Menu" then "Menu management" and select the menu you want to add the button to. Click "Add button" in the top right, and select "Web extension" from there you'll be able to select from the existing web extensions, once done you can configure the text, colour and position of the button just like any other on your menu.
Testing
We always recommend testing the integration before going live with it at the POS, to do that issue complimentary gift cards.
