Before you start
Gift cards are set to a 12-month validity period by default. If you want to change the default for all new gift cards, you can do this in your store settings. How to set up store defaults.
1 ᐧ Go to Gift cards
In your Glu admin area, click Gift cards in the left navigation.
2 ᐧ Select your gift card
Click on the gift card you want to update.
3 ᐧ Go to the Validity section
Scroll down to the Validity section of the page.
4 ᐧ Set your validity period
Use the Validity period dropdown and Validity length field to set how long the gift card will be valid for after purchase.
5 ᐧ Set a valid from period (optional)
If you want the gift card to become valid from a future date, set a valid from period here.
6 ᐧ Save
Click Save in the top right corner and your validity settings are updated.
💡 Good to know: Validity settings are applied per gift card product, so you can have different expiry periods across different gift cards in your store.
