Create gift cards

Set up a gift card product in Glu; whether it's a fixed price, flexible monetary amount, or a configurable option with variant pricing.

Before you start
Make sure you have your gift card imagery, pricing, and terms and conditions ready before getting started.

1 Fixed price

A straightforward gift card sold at a single set price.

  • Give your gift card a name

  • Add a description

  • Set a price

  • Upload an image

2 Monetary

A gift card that can be sold at a flexible or pre-defined monetary amount.

  • Give your gift card a name

  • Add a description

  • Choose Monetary as the type

  • Choose how you want amounts to work:

Flexible amount - set a minimum and maximum amount, and optionally choose a default amount to display on the product page.

Fixed amounts - add specific amounts to display on the product page.

💡 Good to know: Increments of £25 or £50 tend to work best, and sticking to whole numbers keeps things clean and easy to choose from.

  • Upload an image

3 Configurable

A gift card with variant pricing options, ideal for gift experiences with different packages or pricing tiers.

  • Give your gift card a name

  • Add a description

  • Choose Configurable as the pricing type

  • Add an option name and values:

    • The option name appears as the dropdown label

    • The values appear as the selectable options on the product page

    • For example - Option name: Type of stay. Values: Midweek, Weekend

  • Set a price per variant, or keep pricing the same across all variants

  • Upload an image

💡 Good to know: Whichever gift card type you choose, the final steps are always the same - review your default settings including validity period and terms and conditions, then set the status to Active when you're ready to go live.
