1 ᐧ Connect Shopify to Glu
2 ᐧ Add the membership tile to your POS
Adding a tile to your POS screen makes it more efficient for staff to quickly find and manage members.
On your POS home screen, tap Add tile (the last tile in your grid).
Select Apps, then choose Glu.
Tap 'Membership Management' to add it.
Drag and drop the tile to your preferred spot on the screen.
3 ᐧ View a customer’s membership
Once setup Glu continually looks out for customers that it recognises as members, then automatically updates the new tile to show their tier and available balance.
You can tap the tile for a detailed view of their membership information and perform any of the following functions directly in your Shopify POS interface.
A ᐧ Redeem store credit or gift cards
From the detailed view, you can quickly redeem available credit or gift card balances against the customers bill:
Select the credit or gift card you want to use.
Tap 'Apply' and it will be automatically update the basket total.
B ᐧ Assign a physical membership card
If you issue physical membership cards, you can activate these from the POS.
Add your new customer as you normally would.
Pick up a new physical card, tap the Glu tile.
Enter the membership code from the back under 'Assign member card'.
Hand the card to the customer - it’s ready to use right away.
C ᐧ Add store credit to a members account
You may want to give a member discretionary store credit as a perk, apology or as part of a wider loyalty programme - here's how...
Find the customer using search.
Tap the Glu tile.
Go to the 'Add credit' section and enter how much you'd like to give.
Click 'Add credit' and their balance will update instantly.
