Before you start
Make sure Mews is connected to Glu and gift cards are enabled as a payment type. How to connect Mews with Glu.
1 ᐧ Look up the guest
Log in to your Glu admin area and use the global search in the top left to find the guest by typing in their code.
2 ᐧ Review the credit details
Once you've found the guest, you'll be able to see:
Current balance
Status
Validity and expiry
History and previous use
3 ᐧ Redeem against the reservation
Enter the amount you want to apply, then click Assign to reservation. Find the reservation using the confirmation number, email address, or guest name, select it, and click Redeem.
4 ᐧ How this appears in Mews
The redemption is posted as a payment to the guest's profile in Mews using gift card as the payment method. The gift card code and any additional data are attached to the payment for reference, making it easy to look up if any queries arise later.
💡 Good to know: You can apply a partial amount from a gift card or credit balance, leaving the remainder available for future use.
