How to use a membership discount at the Lightspeed POS

This guide walks you through how to look up a member and apply their membership discount at the Lightspeed point of sale.

Before you start

Make sure you have the following in place:

  1. The membership discount benefit set up in both Glu and your Lightspeed back office - read how to do this here.

  2. A Glu button added to your Lightspeed POS menu - read how to set that up here.

Step 1 - Open Glu in Lightspeed

Tap the Glu button in your Lightspeed menu to open the Glu panel. Search for the customer by typing their email address or membership code, or scan their membership card, Apple Wallet, or Google Wallet pass if they have it to hand.

Step 2 - Assign them to the table

Once you've found the customer's profile, tap Assign to table. The customer must be assigned directly from their Glu profile page - once you do this, any applicable membership discounts are automatically applied to their order.
