1 ᐧ Access your DNS settings
Sometimes you'll have an agency managing this for you, but usually DNS settings are managed via your domain registrars account area, or other services like Cloudflare.
2 ᐧ Configure the store with the new domain
In Glu go to 'Settings' then 'Stores'. In the top left click to apply a custom domain and type in the desired subdomain or domain you want to use.
Pending status will show until the DNS records have been created.
3 ᐧ Create or update the DNS record
Create or update the DNS record in your domain, using the following details.
Record type | CNAME |
Name | The subdomain you want to use. |
Value (or target) | cname.glu.io |
Depending on the provider responsible for your domain it can take anywhere from a few minutes to 24 hours for a DNS record to become visible, usually changes are visible within an hour or two for most.
Once our system detects the new DNS record, the status will transition to Active and you'll be able to visit your new domain and see the store.
