How to design your membership plan

Think through the shape of your plan before you start building, a few key decisions up front will save you time and set you up for a better result.

1Decide on your structure

Work through these three questions before you start building:

How many tiers will you have?
There's no limit. Tiers can be publicly visible or kept private for a more exclusive feel.

How will you price them?
Each tier can be free, paid, or unlocked through a member's usage or spend.

How do members move through tiers?
Progression can be based on spend or usage, like a traditional loyalty setup, or members can simply choose and pay for the tier they want.

2Plan your benefits

Think about what your plan offers as a whole and how the benefits differ between tiers. Benefits are created centrally in Glu and then assigned to individual tiers, so it's worth knowing what you want to offer before you start building.

Tier 1 - Free

Tier 2 - LTV = XYZ

Tier 3 - LTV = XYZ

💡 Good to know: Because benefits are managed centrally, any changes you make to a benefit are reflected across every tier and plan it's assigned to automatically.
